Pink Pelican “Sea Camel”

In our journey to learn about the different types of animals and birds in this section, we decided to give you a small overview of the pink pelican known as the sea camel, where we explain much information about it, so let us go on that journey….

The pink pelican inhabits Central Asia around the Caspian Sea and around the Black Sea, and it passes on its way to its winter migration to eastern Africa on the Levant, Palestine, Egypt and the countries of the Arabian Gulf.

It is a water bird, which prefers to live where fresh water is, but it is also found around salt lakes, swamps and on the shores of the seas.

This type of pelican cannot dive, so it is found around flat waters with shallow levels, where it can find its food, which consists mainly of fish, and water insects, and it can sometimes swallow small water birds that cannot expand its throat, length of beak and strength.

Pink swans usually live as groups in large flocks, they move and go together to search for food, and return together to rest in quiet places, on a distant beach or between trees, where they clean their feathers and paint them with oil from their oil glands, in order to protect the body temperature from the cold water. They hide their nests in remote places in the middle of lakes and swamps, where there are many nests next to each other, they are irregularly built from sticks of molasses, where the female lays 2-3 rectangular eggs, pointed at both ends, of yellowish-white color, covered with a thick lime layer.

Finally, remember, dear readers, that we are ready to answer all your inquiries about this distinctive type of bird through the available comments on the topic. Just write what you want to know the answer to in those comments.
